About The Artist - Anthony Bray-Heta

Anthony Bray-Heta was born and raised in Aotearoa (New Zealand). He was taught the traditional Maori art of bone carving by master carver Alan Nopera in Auckland at the age of 15. This was a hobby for 5 years before turning professional in 1995. His subjects include a variety of Maori/Celtic and other tribal styles as well as many contemporary designs.

After traveling around New Zealand he spent the next 3 years traveling abroad. This was a great experience in cultural exchange for him and he now lives and works in Australia

He carves in a very wide range of materials - whale ivory, bone and now also works with silver and bronze. Anthony's work is worn worldwide by an incredible variety of people.

His limited edition silver and bronze pieces are individually numbered (eg #001). The number for the actual piece we are offering is shown under the carving.
We have been lucky enough to secure the first or second piece in the series for most of these designs.

Presentation Boxes (Wakahuia)
Available in several styles and sizes are the perfect finishing touch for these carvings
